We went down from January 5th through the 13th, and stayed at Chris's dads condo in Turtle Bay on the island of Oahu (Thanks Chris and Jaelyn for the hookup!)
The trip was a good break from catering for Maddy and from Kodiak Leather orders for me. We weren't sure we were going to be able to go because Maddy's dad Bryce had an unexpected brain surgery (tumor removal) a few weeks earlier, and we weren't sure if Karla would be able to get all of the caters done with all of us gone! (Bryan and Maddy work there full time, and Jesse is part time).

(This pic above was at church, they had a missionary farewell that was really cool. At the end they sang a Hawaiian farewell song, and had a huge line of people bringing flower lei's up to put around the missionaries neck.) Also, instead of piano prelude music it was 3 girls singing a Hawaiian song as we were walking in. I thought we had walked in right in the middle of the meeting or something!
